Kundapura, about an hour north, gets overlooked - despite having its own river system (the Souparnika) and a genuinely calmer riverside setting.

Trasi, a small village in Kundapura taluk, sits directly on the Souparnika River and is close to both Maravanthe Beach (6 km) and the NH66 highway, making it easy to reach without being on top of the highway noise.

What makes a river view property worth choosing over a standard hotel room: an actual water view (not just a river-adjacent address), quieter surroundings than town-center stays, and easy day-trip access to the coast, temples, and heritage sites nearby.
